ADD SOME FLAVOR TO YOUR FRENCH TOAST!

Since I'm baking the cinnaraisinut this week, I thought I would share my favorite French toast recipe.  it's so simple, yet so scrumptious!  It's a great way to treat some guests to a tasty breakfast--or you can just treat yourself.  :)  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Makes 6 slices of French toast:

INGREDIENTS:

6 thick slices of cinnamon raisin walnut bread

2 eggs

2/3 cups of milk

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Salt to taste

 

1. Beat egg, milk, salt, spices, and vanilla. 

2. Heat a lightly buttered skillet over med to med-high heat (add the butter later to keep it from burning). 

3. Soak each slice of bread on both sides until pretty saturated.  Cook on both sides until golden brown (2-4 minutes on each side I'd say.  Just keep an eye on it).

4. Serve with real maple syrup or your favorite berry fruit cooked down with honey.  Yum!!!
